Boxyad

By an amazing example of the energy of the viral commercialization, have a glance in Boxyad.com. Chris Wong, a student of 20 years of the HK had an absurd idea simple to raise the money of the quota of the university: To send a Web site and to offer 1000 announcements of the box for $20. That is he. There is no content. No fresh graphs, giveaways or videos steamy of Paris Hilton for the spectators to salivate above. To imagine a TV channel that does not demonstrate to anything only the announcements, a compartment with anything but announcements. That one is Boxyad.com. Crazy, right? And apparently, the publicistas have been obtaining good results. To verify outside towards this revision of the site

Boxyad Brainstorm

For an astonishing example of the power of viral marketing, have a look at Boxyad.com. Chris Wong, a 20-year-old student from the HK had an absurdly simple idea for raising college tuition money: Launch a Web site and offer 1000 box ads for $20. That's it. There's no content. No cool graphics, giveaways or steamy Paris Hilton videos for viewers to salivate over. Imagine a TV channel that shows nothing but commercials, a magazine with nothing but ads. That's Boxyad.com. Crazy, right? And apparently, advertisers have been getting good results. Check out this review of the site

Creative Advertising

Chris Wong has come up with a scheme to make himself some easy dollars. Chris built a Web site called Boxyad.com, which he is selling off to advertisers, box by box. The page is broken up into approximately 2000 squares; Chris sells the boxes $20 each.

Currently, Chris looks to have sold close to 100 of the blocks--with squares pointing to online poker sites, dating services and even a yarn and sweater shop in Maine. So even if his clever site never yields the million he's hoping for, it's already making big returns for some teensy tiny ad space.

The funniest website I’ve ever seen

I came across a site named "BoxyAd.com". I sweared I laughed (well, smiled actually since I was in the library at the moment with people around me all reading) when I realized this was the funniest website I’d ever seen, not because the site is a tommy rot, just because it is a very “interesting” funny idea. The homepage is fullfilled with countless differently sized little box one after another. There are no rules for page layout except “Be Full!”. And of course there is rulls for obtainning a little space for laying your own image. You want it? $10 per box! It is obvious the website is going to great a success by building such a simple stuff. Advertising can never be that fun. ;)
